Chris Norris
Chris Norris is a 24-year veteran of the Navy with over a decade devoted to providing direct combat support to Naval Special Warfare Operators in unique and demanding environments. Chris’s distinctive qualifications include military freefall jumpmaster, high speed boat captain, and master training specialist. He is a veteran of multiple deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and anti-piracy operations off the Somalian coast. Chris also spent numerous years dedicated to health, and human services within the Navy as a Drug and Alcohol Program Advisor, Safety Chief and Sexual Assault Response Coordinator.
Chris is a survivor of alcohol use disorder with over 17 years of continuous sobriety and recovery. He is an avid enthusiast of wellness practices with an emphasis on meditation, mindfulness, exercise, and nature. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Human Services with a Substance Use Disorder Treatment concentration from Southern New Hampshire University with Suma Cum Laude honors, and his Master of Social Work with Distinction from Arizona State University.
He is a father of two beautiful daughters, and a husband of 17 years to a lovely girl from Thailand. Chris retired from the Navy in December of 2021 and is pursuing a Mindfulness Self-Compassion Meditation Teacher Certification.
When Chris is not busy studying, playing with his children, and relishing Husband Duty, he can be found meditating, in a yoga pose, running ultra-endurance events, gravel road biking, hiking trails, exploring the mountains, forest, and coast, gardening, rice farming, enjoying good food, good coffee, and appreciating the wonder of it all.
