Empowerment Through Resilience: An Evening with Nick Lavery, Joey Bowen, and Ben Monette
Date: Saturday, October 5th, 2024 | Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Theater N, 1007 Orange Street, Wilmington, DE, 19801
Prepare to be inspired by the stories of three remarkable individuals who have faced tremendous challenges and emerged stronger, more resilient, and more committed to making a difference.
Nick Lavery is an active-duty member of the United States Army Special Forces and a Green Beret who defied the odds by returning to combat as an above-the-knee amputee. After losing his leg in Afghanistan, Nick refused medical retirement and worked tirelessly to rejoin his unit, becoming a leading expert in special operations and mission planning.
Joey Bowen is the co-founder of Few Will Hunt, a movement that seeks to restore the dignity of hard work in a world increasingly driven by entitlement and shortcuts. Joey’s journey began with a simple t-shirt design and has grown into a global community of nearly 100,000 hard workers committed to embracing discipline, focus, and the grind.
Ben Monette is a former Green Beret who has battled mental health issues and addiction despite a successful military career. Ben’s path to recovery was shaped through the support of Treehouse Recovery, where physical fitness, therapy, and peer support played vital roles in his healing. Today, Ben shares his story to help others understand the importance of mental health and resilience.
This event is hosted by Consequence of Habit, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring positive change in our communities. Founded by JT Frank, a military veteran and recovered alcoholic, Consequence of Habit emphasizes the transformative power of habits in shaping our lives.
Join us for an unforgettable evening of empowerment, as Nick, Joey, and Ben discuss leadership, resilience, community, identity, and the power of habit.
