The Bond of Water with Pro Surfer Danny Nichols and Veteran Kyle Kelly

Despite different backgrounds, Danny Nichols, a former pro surfer, and Kyle Kelly, an Army veteran, both believe water can help heal the mind, strengthen the body and raise the spirits. This shared passion brought them together and fueled their mission to co-found Operation Open Water, a non-profit that provides ocean experiences for veterans, active military and first responders.

Their story is about more than just the power of the ocean. In this episode of Consequence of Habit, Danny and Kyle speak with host JT about the deep impact of finding common ground and using it for good. Danny shares his experience with sobriety and how being of service to others has been essential to his journey. Kyle, SSG, US Army (Ret.), shares how his identity changed after his amputation and how the ocean became a reprieve that he knew would help others, too.
